Inspired by McKenna's new little kitten, "Wind in the Whiskers" was born. It features both her kitten and her beloved "Mango" found lounging on a tree branch! McKenna used her gorgeous and popular ombre screen prints for both the backgrounds and the fur texture needed to create some of the subtle hue changes of the kitties. In addition to the appliqué elements crossing from block to block and telling a story, (her trademark!) the fun 3D elements of the clothes line complete with little clothes pins and the quilt within a quilt all have become signature details of McKenna's designs. This is an unbelievable treasure for the kitty lovers out there!
