Dear Friends,

It’s been a whirlwind of a year for me, and a very exciting one! As we approach the end of Summer, I want to update you on the fun new projects that will start shipping in early October, and a brand-new product line that I’m introducing in the same timeframe.

My new premier batik fabric line with Robert Kaufman Fabrics, TigerFish, is shipping to stores in October. With this colorful and diverse fabric line, I’ve created three quilts: Tropical Noel, High Tide, and Mermaid Kisses. Tropical Noel, a four-block applique and pieced quilt, was originally conceived as a holiday-themed project; however, by popular demand, it can also easily be done without the holiday accents for year-round presentation. High Tide is offered as a single pattern --- the turtles and jellyfish are playfully composed in a three-panel quilt. Mermaid Kisses is a wonderful, smaller wall hanging, in gorgeous colors. Each of these three patterns will be offered as laser cut kits as well. I’m reintroducing Dudley the Turtle, a fun large pillow re-done in fabulous TigerFish colors, along with Doolittle, Dudley’s smaller offspring; this pattern will include instructions for creating Starfish pillows in three different sizes. All of these patterns will be available in October. You can see all of these projects here. Ask your local quilt shop when they’ll have these in stock!

I’m very excited to announce a new product line called “Truly McKenna”. Truly McKenna will appeal to new and experienced quilters alike, and will enable you to complete a McKenna Ryan project quickly and easily! Starting with my Sea Breeze and Snow Buds collections, the Truly McKenna lines are art prints of my popular original designs, giving you a way to create usable art – pillows, table runners, throws, totes and more. And for the first time we will offer free downloadable patterns to enable you to create those projects! The Sea Breeze art prints coordinate beautifully with the TigerFish fabric line, and Snow Buds with my SugarPlum fabrics, available now in shops and on our website.

So, enough about me… how are you doing? Are you seeing projects that interest and inspire you? I’m always happy to hear from you on Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets, and I delight in seeing your project photos on Instagram. Tag your posts with #McKennaRyanLove or #McKennaRyanDesigns so I can find you! I appreciate your input and support more than you know.

With sincere appreciation,
McKenna
